Washington D.C.
We spent many summers in DC together, braving the humidity and the summer Hillterns. These summers always included many trips to the Smithsonian Zoo, movies on the lawn of the Library of Congress and late nights at the Blaguard.

Raise High!
The George Washington University Basketball program was not known for their prowess. But they did have an incredible emcee/radio announcer combo. Kate ran the show at all of these games and Henry held it down from the skybox commentating for an audience of dozens.

A Tradition Unlike Any Other

Love a Costume
We are firmly in the camp that October is the best month of the year and Halloween is the best holiday. Every year our costume count exceeds at least 3. Kate usually goes as something DIY or thrifted. Henry always goes as Gosling.

Mardi Party!
In 2024, we were but novices to the Mardi Gras experience. After four years of krewes and crawls we are seasoned veterans of the Crescent City.

Backlot
There is a bar in Austin called Backlot. The beers are really cheap here which is great for us because we love beer and hate spending money.

French Connection
Henry plans all the vacations and he lowkey outdid himself on this one. A bike trip up from the Riviera into the French Prealps ending at a golf club where we played a beautiful nine holes. Kate only crashed out on the course once.

Menton
Another perfect example of our cheap vacationing habits. Kate asked if we were visiting Monaco while in France. Henry said “Monaco is not for people like us,” and then we took the train right through Monaco to the next stop in Menton.

Someone Great
LCD Soundsystem means a lot to us. Which is funny because we probably don’t mean a whole lot to LCD Soundsystem. But they wrote a song called All My Friends in 2007 and I think it genuinely guides our lives. We are really excited to have all of our friends in one place for the wedding.

We ran the Austin half marathon together in 2025 and even though Kate had bronchitis she still got a PR. And Henry actually won his age group… for a fun story at the wedding ask him how he pulled that off.

Matching Bikes
If you know us, you know our matching bikes we ride everywhere. Biking connects us to the city and to each other. While others might drive down a busy street eyes firmly on the road ahead, the bikes let us drift and wander across the city finding new joys and secrets along the way.

Rock n’ Roll Stars
We started playing music together in 2025 in a cover band we called British Invasion. Our first show was in an Air BnB during a torrential downpour. Kate played on an electric drumkit off of bookend speakers. We like to think we’ve come a long way since then but really we haven’t.
